BibliographyBolton & Coe . 1921DescriptionFour horizontal octagons set two over two, each containing the birth date of the 2 parents and 2 Moody children, form the centerpiece of this family record sampler. The diamond-shaped interstices to the sides of the octagons are embellished as decorative elements while the lozenge in the center contains the date of the parent's marriage. In the bottom register a double-handled cache-pot with a loose floral arrangement is set on a verdant lawn and flanked by clusters of stylized trees out of which arise flowering vines that climb up either side of the sampler, meeting in the middle top where they are tied with a bowknot. Thread colors are green, blue, red, and black.
