BiographyRebecca Reiss was born 3 January 1822 in Northampton County, PA, the 10th child of Michael and Elizabeth Maria Brown Reiss. She was confirmed in 1839 at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Freemansburg, PA. She married Samuel Transue who died in 1871, aged 51. Rebecca died in 1896 at the age of 74. Both are buried in the cemetery of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Freemansburg.
