DescriptionAn Evesham School, Burlington County, New Jersey, Quaker alphabet sampler featuring 4 alphabets, including upper and lower case versions of the classic Quaker associated Roman script, a number sequence, a wreath-enclosed black lettered inscription, two baskets, single blossom floral spot motifs, and a pair of facing blue birds. The first alphabet is followed by the initials LB and the third alphabet is followed by the initials R.L.E. [possibly a teacher?] The top and sides of the sampler display an undulating strawberry border. Thread colors are green, blue, yellow, tan, and black.
