DescriptionJane Tucker Pering has worked a formal symmetrical composition featuring an urn with cascading flowers above a shield bearing her verse and inscription , and a large flower basket in the lowest register , all flanked by matching trees, birds, flowers and flower baskets and surrounded by a floral border. The unusual elongated angels hovering over the large basket are also seen in the 1835 Mary Ann Seldon sampler in this collection (2024.24.13) , Mary Ann Seldon was also born in Devon. Thread colors are pink, green, tan and blue .
