DescriptionA pictorial sampler, from Chester County, Pennsylvania, features a formal composition of stylized floral arrangements, paired pine and willow trees flanking a flower-filled basket and a double-handled urn with flowering shrubs, a verse, and a family record. The composition is framed by a double serpentine or linked chain inner border and a distinctive multi-floral twining outer border.
