DescriptionA Pennsylvania German style alphabet and spot motif sampler with upper and lower case alphabets across the top and the maker's name, Catharine Meyley. Styized Pennsylvania German motifs of bushes, flowering plants, vases and birds on branches, and an eight pointed star are presented in three rows above a three bay stone, hip roof house with pedimented central doorway. Colors are tan, blue, green, and black. The border is a simple geometric pattern worked in cross stitch.
