DescriptionLea Deisher embroidered three alphabets, a number sequence, and a variety of small angular Pennsylvania German sampler motifs - A brick house with bird on roof and one on fence, pair of roosters, a stag, 8 large floral units in urns , woven heart, 8 point stars in each corner, 2 lions with crowns. Thread colors are blue, green, red, orange, gold, brown, black and white. The stylized flowers are possibly patterns for clocks (clox) the motifs embroidered onto stockings , serving as both decoration and stabilzation for the gusset, the area where the heel meets the stocking leg.
