DescriptionA depiction of the Virgin Mary and Jesus as an infant. Mary has gilded details to her garments while Jesus has a translucent cloth around his waist and wears a bracelet and necklace of coral beads. Behind them is a sumptuous brocade-like background and in the lower part of the foreground are two clerical figures wearing robes. The figure on the left has a shaved head consistent with a monk's tonsure and holds a chalice like item in his left hand while pointing to it with his right hand. The bishop saint figure at right wears a pointed, mitre hat and carries a book in one hand and crozier, astaff that curves decoratively at the end, in his other hand. All the figures in the work have gilded halos surrounding their head.
