DescriptionA darning sampler containing 9 elaborate darning crosses worked in silk thread in pink, blue, green, and white and evenly arranged across the square linen ground. The spaces between the darning crosses are embellished with charming motifs including decorative urns with flowering shrubs, birds atop and flanking floral arrangements, a swan, a peacock, a prancing hart, and pair of black face sheep.
