ProvenanceLinda Ford Wallace CollectionDescriptionEmploying cross stitch with wool thread in a harmonious palette of greens, golds, pinks, brown, white and light blue, the sampler displays two alphabets and a number series, decorative dividing lines, border, and a variety of small motifs including pairs of confronting birds and animals, trees, hearts, crowns, fruit trees, and flowering plants, ranged around a large basket, stylized tree and a pair of confronting birds.
