Mary Peterson

Mary Peterson was born in Downe Township, Cumberland County, New Jersey, in 1818 to Elcey Glann and Hollingshead Peterson. Mary's father was identified as a carpenter in 1850 . In 1860 he and Mary's brothers were listed as oystermen. Mary married Levi Glann in 1834 and became the mother of a daughter and a son before her death in 1840 at the age of 23. She is buried in the Dividing Creek Baptist Cemetery in Cumberland County.
