Exhibition HistoryShape of Light: Defining Photographs from the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center, Vassar College, Poughkeepsie, NY, September 20 - December 15, 2019Label TextHumor finds its way into each of Eleanor Antin’s postcards in her "100 Boots" series. In the early 1970s, Antin took 100 rubber black boots across New York and California, staging them in various urban and non-urban settings. She printed and distributed these photographs of the boots in the form of postcards, adding another layer of travel to their ongoing journey.
