DescriptionDepiction of an elderly man wearing clerical robes with a ruff and a cap on his head extending his right arm outwards and with his left hand slightly inserted into a book lying on the table. The extension of his hand and his profile casts a shadow outside of the oval in which he is depicted. Text encircles the oval and additionally in a paragraph at the bottom below the image.
