Label TextIn the early twentieth century, John Marin joined a blossoming circle of artists based in New York City, including Georgia O’Keeffe, Alfred Stieglitz, and Marsden Hartley. The painter often traveled from his urban studio to sites across New York and New England, composing vibrant abstractions of landscapes and coastal scenes.
