People are Beautiful: Prints, Photographs, and Films by Andy Warhol

This exhibition explored shifting notions of beauty in Warhol's portraits, with a focus on such themes as Celebrity and Stardom; The Patron/Artist Relationship; Fashion, Models, and the Party Scene; and the "Most Beautiful" Screen Tests. The Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center was part of a consortium of five academic museums in the Hudson Valley which each hosted thematic exhibitions of Warhol's art in 2018. The group of exhibitions, collectively titled "Warhol x 5", featured works lent from the collection of participating institutions.

There are works that appeared in this exhibition that were loans to the Loeb and therefore do not appear on this website. This exhibition was supported by the Hoene Hoy Photography Endowment Fund and by the Evelyn Metzger Exhibition Fund.
