DEACCESSIONS

All professionally managed museums should periodically take stock of their collections with an eye toward improving the over all quality by culling some works based on their condition, redundancy, or limited service to the program. All accredited museums, including the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center, have very specific procedures in place to guide the deaccessioning process. One element of our due diligence is to publish those works that have been removed from our collection with the relevant details.
